I have actually an old 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5SL and also a few weeks ago during really cold temperatures my rear passenger side door quit opening. Before it unlocked fine and was just frozen however today i noticed the lock mechanism is broken, that makes numerous clicks as soon as I shot to unlock it and also the inside lock point moves but wont fully go every the way to the unlock position. Also if I try pushing it every the method manually it wont, miscellaneous is grounding or avoiding it native going all the way. The main problem is it won"t open from the inside or the end so there is no means to take it the door panel apart myself without resulting in damage.Any human body shops encourage in Toronto to gain this looked at?I simply need the door to unlock don"t really care about paint because it"s a beater car.Getting one Audi Q5 yielded soon so this will just be a an additional car.

Pretty basic to take it a door dashboard off and also get that fixed. That usually simply a pair of screws because that the door handle and also then a bunch of plastic pins stop the panel on. Simply YouTube it.is

Did not know back seats to be removable that conveniently (I simply saw a video clip about the chair tabs ~ above the floor). Will give this a shot next weekend, thanks. Also, this wake up to it is in the exact same door whereby the speak is dead therefore I"ll hopefully be able to resolve both issues.

Another believed if you don"t want to change the power lock actuator friend should be able to disconnect the actuator and use the door lock as manual.

Just an update on this:A few weeks back I took the door dashboard apart and fixed it.There were these two metal wires that regulate the locking mechanism. I disconnected both wires, and I simply pushed the steel wire in and also out of it"s sleeve a few times and also applied part all objective oil come lubricate it, and everything is fine.I assumption: v it simply dried out and seized up. This is a 13 year old car after all.If anyone else ever has this worry I"ve enclosed a photo for reference.

Remove the rear seats come make enough room. This video clip helped. My auto is leather seats and completely loaded and the video is a base model however everything was pretty much the same aside from a couple of extra screws/clips
