I am having troubles through my new truck, brand-new to me anyways. 2003 Chevy 1500 4.8L 4x4. The inspect enginge light came on so i aksed a girlfriend to hook it as much as his computer and it to be diagnosed together the evap vent solenoid. He claimed it wasnt to huge of a deal and reset the code. It stayed off for about two weeks and now that is back on. The concern I have is I tried to find the component online and it seems quite expensive, well over 100 dollars. Is there any type of other aftermarket parts that would certainly fit this truck. I cannot afford to spend that sort of money on it right now. Additionally how perform you obtain the clips the water tap off that piece. It has actually some form of clip on it. Newbie asking for a small help.. Thanks in advance!

has anybody do the efforts the following parts on a 2003, It states 2004 and newer

***IMPORTANT info YOU need to READ*****

Ok everyone, hear up....If you have a 04 and newer silverado, v a failure evap vent solenoid, you have to read this info. Do not pay $100+ because that this part(actually $150.00 in ~ the dealer). The following part numbers associated with this component have to be gm#19207763,19152349, and also AC DELCO #'s 214-2082 costing over $100.00 for the modification part. This is for the modification part, through the relocation the the filterbox, and the included hose the seperates the two. No one at Gm will certainly tell you this, but this exact same part, that was origionally on your silverado, is likewise used in the 2006 Suburban. It will certainly be an the same replacement for what is ON your TRUCK, and also the cost is $24.04 at THE DEALER. I understand this since I own a 2006 silverado, and also a 2006 suburban. Looked at the suburban once the component went negative on the silverado(from overfilling the tank)and bingo, same part. Asking a parts human at GM, and also they will tell you otherwise, yet they room lying come you. To buy the suburban component today component # 25932571 (GM #) and everything is identical, right down to the number stamped top top the part itself. Take it the component off mine silverado, placed the instead of on (which gm told me is no the best part), clearing the codes, and bingo no an ext light after ~ 3 consecutive starts...... Why, is it that GM feeling we have to pay the price for something they walk wrong???? and also moreso, lie come us, telling us the $150.00 component is ours only an option to resolve the problem. My truck went 40K miles v the origional part, and also probably just went bad because of my own stupidity in overfilling the tank, whay would I not simply want to spend $24.00 to put on the exact same part, that will more than likely go the rest of the life that the truck with no tank overfills???? i say CLASS action LAWSUIT FOR anyone THAT has actually BEEN SCAMMED right into PAYING THE ridiculous PRICE the GM is trying to suck the end of us.....Please happen this on come the world, and every forum girlfriend can...Get the word out....Let the parts people at GM understand we space on to their BS, and also they can't take benefit of us choose they have.....
